Our Story
EcoPrimé began with a simple belief — that the world's most elegant tableware should leave no trace behind. We turned sugarcane waste into a premium product, and a purpose into a business.
The Beginning
Founded by Murtaza Burhani, EcoPrimé was born out of frustration with the status quo — mountains of plastic and styrofoam waste generated by the food-service industry every single day.
We saw an opportunity in sugarcane bagasse — the fibrous pulp left behind after juice extraction. What farmers burned or discarded, we transformed into strong, food-safe, compostable tableware. Every plate, bowl and container we make gives new life to agricultural waste.
Today, EcoPrimé supplies restaurants, caterers, airlines, hospitals and retailers across India and internationally — proving that sustainable can also be premium.
Leadership
Murtaza built EcoPrimé from the ground up with a clear mission — to make premium, planet-friendly tableware accessible to every food business in India and beyond. With deep roots in the region's agricultural economy, he saw the potential in sugarcane bagasse long before it became a global trend.
