The Material
Sugarcane bagasse is the dry fibrous residue left after sugarcane stalks are crushed to extract juice. Instead of burning it — which releases CO₂ — we compress and mould it into tableware that is stronger than paper, lighter than plastic, and fully compostable.
Performance
Made from sugarcane fibre — no plastic, no chemicals, no synthetic coatings.
Withstands temperatures up to 120 °C. Safe for hot foods, soups and curries.
Natural fibre structure resists grease and moisture without any plastic lining.
Breaks down completely in industrial or home compost within 60–90 days.
Can be stored in the freezer — ideal for meal prep and food delivery services.

The Journey
Sugarcane is grown and harvested across Maharashtra and neighbouring states.
Mills extract juice for sugar production, leaving behind fibrous bagasse pulp.
Bagasse is cleaned, pulped and prepared for moulding.
Pulp is pressed into moulds under heat and pressure, forming strong tableware.
Every batch is tested for food safety, structural integrity and compostability.
After use, products compost within 90 days — returning nutrients to the soil.
